2020 has been quite the year and it seems even Beyoncé agrees.
On Monday, the singer’s cousin, Angie, shared an Instagram post showing off a gift that she’d received from the superstar — a blinged-out chain that spells out “2020” in the shape of a hand giving the middle finger.
“@beyonce gifted all of her girls with this amazing custom 2020 necklace,” she captioned a photo of the necklace. “It’s a hand with middle finger and the year 2020 combined into one. When I opened it my eyes teared up because it is both Hilarious & Deeply Sentimental.”
She continued, “2020 has had ups and downs but over all its been a really weird and tuff [sic] year. Hopefully 2021 is good to the world.”
While many are looking to better times in the coming year, looking back Beyoncé has extended a helping hand to those who are struggling. Most recently, her foundation, BEYGood, has announced plans to support families and residents affected by the current housing and eviction crisis brought on by COVID-19.
“This holiday season while many are stressed with what they will do next regarding their housing, we are proud to share some GOOD news. Beyoncé is giving $5,000 grants to individuals and families facing foreclosures or evictions,” read a statement on Beyonce.com.
This marks the second phase of Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD Small Business Impact fund, which has issued $10,000 grants to over 250 small businesses to date.
