dvsn reimagines Kings of Leon’s hits “Use Somebody” and “Sex on Fire”

Following the release of “Blessings,” R&B duo dvsn kicks off the new year with another scorching new track, “Use Somebody.”

Per usual, Daniel Daley’s vocals float effortlessly over Nineteen85’s multi-layered production to create another bedroom anthem. The Toronto duo used their impressive music skills for a blended cover of alt-rock band Kings of Leon‘s hit single of the same name and the band’s 2008 single, “Sex on Fire.” dvsn’s version has a much softer tone than Kings of Leon’s drum-heavy beat.

“Blessings” and “Use Somebody” will be featured on dvsn’s upcoming album, Amusing Her Feelings. The album’s title is a play on the words from their 2020 album, A Muse in Her Feelings, which peaked at #23 on the all-genre Billboard 200 album chart and debuted at #5 on the Top R&B Albums chart. This marks the duo’s third and highest entry on the list, following 2016’s Sept. 5th and 2017’sMorning After, which peaked at #7 and #6, respectively.

Amusing Her Feelings will be out on Friday, Jan. 15 via OVO Sound.
