Lizzo reveals she’s working on her mental health following a rough year

Lizzo admits that she struggled with her mental health over the past year and opened up in an encouraging post to fans about choosing to stay strong.

The 32-year-old “Juice” singer shared three photos on Monday, showing off what she really looks like without the designer clothing and professional stylists.  Lizzo, who is wearing hardly any makeup, is comfortably dressed in a peach-colored crop tank top, baggy green shorts, a bandanna and a green pendant.

Last year it felt impossible to get anything right. This year I gotta pick myself up from a new low,” captioned Lizzo.  “I know I’m not alone. But damn it can feel that way.”

As for what helped lift her spirits as she worked through the hard times, the two-time Grammy winner credits, “Journaling + meditation + a gallon of water a day + sweat has made possible something I can wrap my head around.”

Lizzo hopes her honest and vulnerable post will inspire her nearly 10-million followers to be kinder to themselves during such an uncertain point in time.

“Here’s your sign to love on yourself today,” she ordered.

The “Truth Hurts” singer later took to her Instagram stories to share a video of her dancing around while mouthing along the words to a freestyle about self-love and confidence.
